On March 18, Phase I of the Center's 2010 charter application process closed.
Phase I ran from January 25 to March 18 and resulted in 49 charter school applications being submitted. CMU uses a competitive, multi-phase application review process.
Applicants invited to continue into Phase II will be personally notified and provided with further details. As Michigan's leading authorizer, CMU will only consider applications that demonstrate a promising vision, strong academic program, and sound business plan, along with the potential to successfully launch and operate a school in a quality manner. Schools chartered by CMU will pursue the highest standards and will be committed to educational excellence for all children.
