Cory serves as a school lead, providing expertise and guidance to schools on issues related to school operations, governance, general compliance and student achievement. He meets regularly with individual schools, attending board meetings, overseeing site visits and discussing each school’s unique areas of success and opportunity. Prior to joining the Center, he was the school leader at a charter public school in Flint. In his more than 20 years in education, Cory has served as an elementary school teacher, school dean, human resources manager and school principal. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a Master of Arts in education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, an Educational Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration from Liberty University, and a doctorate of education in leadership and administration from Liberty University.
